okay, regarding this atricle.

1.It also raised the issue of the Greenacres Shopping Centre opening at 12.01am on the day of release, saying this “is outside their regular shopping time. This is about the time that occulting rituals take place”. The e-mail says author J K Rowling “planned all this to have a corporate power of witchcraft activities in our city and worldwide

first of all, people who say that is people claiming to be oh So christian. second of all, I bet none of them have even bothered to read the books or its contents, all they did was probably judge on some of the movies. clearly JK made the relase date that way so that fans would be happy and excited and we'd all be doing it at once.
I've been reading these books for 3 years now and have NEVER thought of ever joining a "cult" let's call it, where people get together and do wicca and dark magic.

2.“Not one satanist or wicca has ever complained that the facts in the books are wrong,”
I don't even understand this!!! I don't care about other people's religion, you can be a satanist or wicca or whatever. I have read these books, I'm a christian and believe in God and Jesus. I pray, i go to church once in a while.. by saying that, they're just saying if you read harry potter you're automatically a "satanist." well you know what? I know satanist and Wicca, and they don't even LIKE haryy potter!!

these books have made history in our world. people who were illiterates started reading the books in interest. The world of harry potter have turned many kids away from T.V. and computers.
If you look at the bright side you will see that Harry is an emotional person who has been through so much, and he is someone who we can all learn from.
yes, sure there are people who are obsessed, but not obsessed to the point where they go and research witchcraft. The books have opened a whole new world, not to just children, but to adults. JK writes them in such a way that they are so vivid and you can feel, hear and smell everything. in thirty years people will remember harry potter.

3. okay, so if these people are so "christian" then why don't they care about other things that people are obsessed with?
example 1: Paris Hilton. I have nothing against her, but isn't it better to love Harry potter, books, literature. than to love some person because she has everything she wants? Paris is nothing but a girl who acts in really stupid ways, only for attention.
example 3: what about other series? why is everyone attacking harry potter? there is a whole series CLEARLY called W.I.T.C.H. I haven't read the books, so I won't say anything. what about U-gi-oh? (dunno how to spell it). i have seen kids who spend their money and their time collecting the u-gi-oh cards, and they will go to any level to get the one they want! I am not saying that these things suck so don't yell at me. there are people, ag 7-10 who are obsessed with LOTR, why isn't the church attacking that? isn't LOTR way more brutal and adultish for kids? what about star wars? isn't all the fighting and the "darth vader" supposedly "non christian"?

These people are just idiotic morons! I mean just READ the books before you say anything. I do feel very sorry for te kids of people like that. if your parents, or you or anyone you know is that way please don't come here and yell at me and say I'm an idiot, because this is MY opinion. honestly, this is just pissing me off, all the "oh God wouldn't like that" people want attention and they just have nothing better to do.
please do not be like them.. read the books before you say anything
thank you
