Well, I've just spent the afternoon finishing up my costume for the Hallowe'en Ball in the Potions dungeons. Fortunately, Professor Snape allowed me permission to have them all to myself after lessons, so I wasn't disturbed by any imbeciles who can't figure out how to make Invincibility Potion. All I've left to do is pick something else up this evening and then I'll be all set for the unfortunate event that is the ball. At least we have classes off for the day tomorrow beforehand.

My Father is flooing into Hogsmeade Friday evening to take me back to the Manor for the weekend. It will be good to sleep in my own bed for a few nights after the atrocity that is a Hogwarts issued bed. The linens here are practically threadbare. Fortunately, Mother always orders French linens for me before the start of term, so I've had at least some comfort in the trenches. However, I am, of course, looking forward to spending time in the Manor away from the habitants of Hogwarts. I suppose I'll have to greet the guests at the Gala on Saturday, but otherwise I should be free to do as I like. Last year's Gala was rather interesting, to say the least. I wonder if Professor Snape shall be able to top his former costume.

Of course, I've had my costume for the ball planned out for quite awhile. It seems everyone else didn't bother to plan ahead for it, but Malfoys are usually prepared. I'm sure everyone else's costumes will be absolutely barbaric and simpleton. Potter, of course, has absolutely no imagination at all, so I imagine he's probably going as a Quidditch player of some sort. Horrendously predictable.

Yesterday in Arithmancy, Professor Vector pulled me aside to talk about that ridiculous bloody complaint Potter had issued against me. Of course, Potter says he wasn't the one complaining, but I think I explained things thoroughly. It's not my fault the boy is insane and thinks everyone's out to get him. Perhaps he ought to start spending more time with Macmillan. I assured her that the only time I've ever come across Potter in my free time was when he was breaking the rules, and I, as a Prefect, was forced to punish him. If Potter wants to call his rule-breaking being "stalked", then I suppose all of Hogwarts is stalking him.
