Most everyone knows I went to see Dracula tonight, right? I've been excited/nervous about this since I booked my ticket. So nervous/excited in fact that I didn't get much sleep last night and woke up in a foul mood this morning ( Read more... )

Being that close? Yeah, major thrill I have to say and on top of that to see him acting?? Bonus.

There will be a next time... I'm just working my courage up. LOL

That theatre was tiny and I still can't quite believe I was on the front. Yes, they were practically in your lap and at times it was definitely touching distance. When Andrew did the scene after he's been rubbed and is on the floor, Myself and Jess both leaned forward to hug him LOL

They come out very quickly after the show... I almost missed him by going to the bathroom too, but luckily for me he'd been stopped on the stairs by a couple of people and one of the ladies asked me if I would take a photo for her... plus I also had a reason to approach him (getting Erin's poster signed) so that helped.

I completely feel for you, nerves clearly got the better of you and made you think all irrationally *hugs*

OK... here's the deal. If you can make either this Saturday or next, and there's still tix available - I will come with you. I really can't make a weekday because I don't have holiday days to use but a Saturday I can.

Let me check on funding and such. I might be able to swing it but I'll need to double check. It would be awesome to see you! (well, and Andrew too of course. LOL)

BTW, in your show were they touching Andrew everywhere? My god... that was rrrumph.

I didn't see Adam anywhere either. He could have been behind me though at one of those round tables. Feel bad I missed him.

I've got to wonder what Hannah thinks of him getting groped like that! Seems a bit more intimate than most partners--even actors--would be comfortable with.

I suppose if it happens all the time it becomes routine? Like a sex scene???

Thanks for the write-up. I am once again overcome with jealousy. It's easy to say I would've sat in the front row since I'll never be able to go, but I'd like to think I would've been brave enough. Though I suppose you're plenty close from the third row. It's too bad you didn't get to meet him. I feel bad about that!

Anyway, I'm glad you went and I got to hear about the rubbing. :O)

Oh, I have a question. Was this your first time ever seeing Andrew in person? If so, what are your impressions?

No. His performance was really good. I tweeted him along with the rest of the cast. Andrew's hinky about responding to any tweets though so that might be why. People might want something in return?? With Andrew you're unlikely to get that. He's smart that way and stays disengaged. Keeps him out of trouble I think. LOL
But he was really good. They all were.

Good to know. I can't imagine him not doing a good job. I just felt bad for him.

So is this your first time meeting him? If so, what are your impressions of seeing him in the flesh, so to speak?

He was lovely. Very happy to stop and talk with everyone after the show.(I think at least he seemed to be) I didn't see him beforehand so I couldn't say about that.

It's hard to describe finally seeing him in person after having been a fan for so many years. I guess, for me, it would be like meeting anyone new I suppose only you know, they're your favourite actor. LOL

Not sure if you realize how many of us "quiet" fans were wishing you a brilliant night last night. I waited for your report ALL DAY!.

I would have re-acted the same way after the show. It is very different, putting yourself out there in a personal way, even if you do it professionally.

I hope that you do you back with Cat next week and get to meet Andrew. YOU deserve it and get the recongtion that YOU deserve. Not only would you have Cat as your support, but you will also have all of us Pottsfantic followers behind you.

Thanks for bringing a smile to my day with all of your postings and up-dates.

That's really sweet of you to say :) Thank you so much for the lovely words. Andrew's fandom is full of such awesome people. It is true when you're sort of the person everyone is looking at(as with my job) than when I'm out doing things for myself. I've done fairly well at conventions and things but for the most part I've been with someone to help bolster my confidence. :)

I couldn't believe how small the theatre was either! I actually chose not to sit on the front row because I didn't want to be that close! I was in the third row like you when I went and that was close enough.

I know. I still felt like they were in my lap. LOL I would have been uncomfortable in the front. In the show you saw were those women groping all over Andrew(like ALL over??) I'm trying to figure if it was just an in the moment thing or scripted.

Well, I couldn't really see it that well because Andrew was sitting down but, yeah, I'm pretty sure that happened.
