Don't forget that along with 'raped by an angel' there was also the most offensive phrase 'raped by God'.

The angel bit was bad but the second part was totally offensive, blaphemous and totally unecessary unless intending to be offensive was a part of the package.

Jesus slapping Eve didn't seem to be an act consistent with the author of turn the other cheek either!

For the finale, I might add that the Judeo-Christian mythology description didn't float my boat much either.
