Because I'm pretty certain the poodle look is out this season

Hello!  ♥
I hope this entry finds you fine and dandy; it certainly does me, although not for any specific reason I can claim.
Firstly - a dear friend of mine has just joined LJ - her username's savvydigestive, go look her up, dears. She's put up with me for twelve years and if that says nothing for her goodness, nothing will.

Yesterday, I ended up ( Read more... )

rambling, life, books, geekery, sherlock, happy

You couldn't see, but I did a dance when I caught sight of you saying you enjoyed it. I know you already told me you did, but I'm weird. I'll convert you all, bwahahaha! XD

... Sorry. Need sleep. DX

Love you lots. ♥ Invade as soon as brain restarts. *cuddles*

You're recommending a lovely person? Hmm, do you think she would be all freaked out if I went and said hello? After all, a recommendation from you just makes them seem far too awesome not to ( ... )

No, no, she definitely wouldn't! She already knows about you, I told her. I always talk about people I love to other people I love. Nice things. Promise. :3 ( ... )

Hey, you!

Daniel Handler-a.k.a.-Lemony Snicket is my BFF. Or at least, I met him once, and his signature on the wall at work is my favorite.

OMGLOL BARBARA KINGSOLVER. Okay, I've heard truly excellent things about The Poisonwood Bible, but the only book of hers I've read is The Bean Trees, and it was... for the lulz. Although the fact that I was fourteen and had to read it for school probably didn't help its chances.

...I love that you guys call them hairgrips. We call them bobby pins. XD As someone whose hair doesn't seem to like unusual treatment, though, please accept my sympathy. :<

the portrayal of Sherlock is very much your typical clever-to-the-point-of-madness-and-kooky-with-it
This is probably the thing that irritates me the most. XD No, the thing that irritates me the most is writers who think they're smarter than their audiences AND their genius characters. Rar.

ENJOY YOURSELF PLZ. ♥

Hey, dear!

Never actually read them, I'm afraid. Mean to. Really mean to. Will try better in future :3

Only read The Lacuna, it's rather good. ♥ Probably not, dear, although count yourself lucky, we had to read DREADFUL EXCUSES for books in school when I was fourteen. I read Oscar Wilde outside of school to compensate.

Really? O.O I love linguistic differences...XD I love your hair, darling, but I'll also accept your sympathy whole-heartedly.

Oh, yes, you don't really care for the script writer, do you? XD I remember that very amusing entry quite well. No one should elevate themselves above genius characters like Sherlock. There should be a law against it.

I DID DO LOVELY AND THANK YOU FOR TELLING ME TO YOUR MESSAGE CLEARLY REACHED MY SUBCONSCIOUS ♥

They might be in paperback by now? I forget. You'd like them, though; they're extremely sardonic. XD

Haha, ours were largely... well, survivable, at least. Although there were a few I would have burned page by page if I hadn't had to save them for my sister to inherit. XD

Trufax! And I do, too; they're charming and really funny sometimes. And extremely challenging when you're trying to write for an at-least-partly British audience and keep wanting to use "pants" the American way... XD

Er..... neither Steve Moffat nor Mark Gatiss is my favorite person ever to have written for Doctor Who or anything else; let's put it that way. XD''' And AGREED. :|

I LOVE SARDONIC THINGS ♥ I am one of the very many lovers of True British Sarcasm anyway.

I always want to burn my revision notes when I get the news I've done well on an exam, but I always give them to my brother instead, that way he doesn't have to suffer copying out the notes the same way I did DX

Hey, dear, you ever need an English equivalent for any American phrase, drop me a line and I'll help, 'kay? I'd like to think I understand English quite well :3

^^ I see...and right, you go stand outside the White House with a sign for a bit, and I'll make my way to our Houses of Parliament. We can change the world and make it fairer for genius characters everywhere! :D
