Google kindly informed me that today, the 16th of October, be Mr. Oscar Wilde's 156th birthday. You probably all know I adore the man; it's probably best not to get me started in detail on reasons why, but I admire the way he laughed at the people who mocked him and the way he lived life on his own terms. (Really, this whole entry is just because I'm a quote geeklet. No joke. The QI Book of Quotations has a permanent residence on my bedroom floor. Like the collected works of Wilde does. And the collected Sherlock Holmes stories. They, uh, technically aren't *mine*, I borrowed them from the communal family bookcases and never really returned them. :D)
