Character Bio: Din

Din

Species: Goddess

Age: Physically appears between 25 and 35 - older than dirt in actuality, although she doesn’t keep track.

Stature: Stands at 5’11’’, built trim with less curves and more muscle, although still identifiable as a woman for the most part.

Body Temperature: 115.4 °F

Sexuality:Unknown

Game: The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time. (Note: Although Din is mentioned/appears in many other Zelda games, the mun is most familiar with this one, and will use this version as a base.)

Bare Skin Appearance: (Note: I realize I take a great deal of artistic license in this design, so please tell me if anyone thinks I have gone too far. I don't want to upset someone - RP is supposed to be fun!) Toned down from actual gold, Din’s skin still maintains an unnatural metallic tint. Both her hair and her eyes are dark shades of red ranging through the various shades of molten rock. Her hair is long, coarse, and unruly, usually kept in a mixture of braids and loose tangles. The Triforce of power is tattooed in red over her sternum with the appearance of war paint.

Clothing: Most noticeable of Din’s attire is her headdress, made from a mixture of leather and bone with an adorning fringe of feathers and fur fanning out the back in an aura. The weave sweeps her hair back, giving her face an even more severe quality.

She wears a combination of dark brown leathers and maroon cloth, both heavily frayed, in a makeshift corset/bodice with shorts/sash. Fur and leather scraps are thrown in as cuffs or fringe.

Her hands have four metal skewers strapped on the backs of each, most of them rusted. Likewise, spiked, cleated metal sandals are on each foot with extra claws attached to the tops. It should be known that these are very uncomfortable and give terrible arch support.

Weapons: None, save her shoes.

Abilities: Din’s power is raw and usually destructive; she refuses to learn how to control it. Her medium of choice is fire, as it is without rhyme or reason, although she has taken a liking to the randomness of lightning.

Personality: Abrasive, shameless, and entirely without manners. Din values power above all else, but only truly cares about chances to gain more or competition against her own. She does not believe in flaunting or killing things to show her abilities, and usually leaves anything weaker than her to mind its own business. Technically she is neither evil nor good, despite the saying, and is under instruction to not kill mortals on purpose.

She has a tendency to become bored easily, and lacks all conversational skills besides shouting. Lies strike her as cowardly; she tends to be bluntly honest with her opinions.

All forms of water are loathsome to her; she avoids them if possible. She is most comfortable in temperatures above 90°F. Enjoys fire, swearing, explosions, loud noises, dancing, and caustic senses of humor.

History/Relationships: Created with her sisters, Din was the first of the three to begin the creation of Hyrule. She has since watched through the footprint left behind as the generations of heroes and villains fought one another, Although after a while she stopped watching closely, claiming they all ran together.

Din loathes Nayru to the core for reasons of her own, and has attempted to kill her on several occasions. Atmittedly, Nayru has done the same.

She tolerates Farore, and will on some levels listen to her. Farore acts as the only bridge between Din and Nayru, and can sometimes placate them from outright attempting to destroy one another. Although not exactly friendly, there is a grudging level of respect for Farore’s ‘guts’.

(There is a proper history for Din, but it is still shaky, and will be held off for a later date.)
