I do not think that word means what you think it means

I'm sick of people constantly saying, "Oh you knit, you must have lots of patience." The word has lost all meaning. These people must picture me sitting at home all night every night stitching away lonely and sad. HA

i get that cos i crochet lace. "oh, you must be so patient to do that! i never could!" i just look at them and say, "no, i'm just neurotic and obsessive compulsive," and i smile. they go, "oh, heh. ok." and slowly edge away.
