[Wet Raenef is trudging through soaking, puddle-y grass. He's holding a blanket over his head--which is also soaked. One can see a thick wall of rain around him. He looks sick and exhausted.]

It really won't stop raining. I bet I can swim to Violet City, if this keeps up.

Kinda forgot to tell everyone. I left Cherrygrove two days ago-- [A ( Read more... )

You have to keep following the path, to get to the cave. There might be some smaller ones along the way.

I--think I'm still on it? It's flooded so it's hard to see.

...uh. [Yes, brain cells, work.] How many days were you walking before you found the cave?

Uh...four I think. I was training a bit to, so I probably took longer.

I'm probably still a little too far away... I haven't been able to train in this weather, though. Maybe I can make it there.

[Cough.] Why can't we use spells here? I bet there's one to keep people dry.

Yeah, your eggs are safe Raenef!

Find a house along the road. There is a guy named "Mr. Pokemon" who lives in one of the few houses on the route. He'll take you in from the storm! You and Ghostie Be careful Raenef!

Thank you! It took me a lot longer than I thought to start traveling.

...Whoa, really? I hope I'm close to his house. [Peering through the storm.]

I thought the storm I experienced when I first got here was bad.

It seems the weather in Johto is really violent! I wonder if it's a pokemon that is causing it. [Not a far off hypothesis, right?]

This one started right after I left...

A...Pokemon? Do you think it could really do this? Ghostie doesn't have that kind of magic.

[He glances down at his innocuous red and white pokeball.]

Stay safe, it doesn't look so bad now but. . . the weather here is unpredictable.

Pokemon can create fire and water, right? I don't think it's weird to have one that can make storms.

Someone told me there's a house around here. I just gotta find it... I'll be okay. Where are you right now?

It'd have to be a really big Pokemon. Maybe one lives up in the clouds.

Two days ago...?

... You still have a good five days of walking in good weather, guy... Maybe you'd better turn around.

I'm already pretty far... I think I'll keep going. Someone said there's a house around here. Or maybe a cave.

...I wonder if it always storms this much.

There's the Dark Cave... but that's a lot further than just two day's travel.

If you know what's good for you, get your ass back to Cherrygrove.

I don't think anybody wants to be finding a bunch of drowned corpses floating back to town next week.

Oh... well, I'll look for the house then. It's probably closer than Cherrygrove.

Don't worry! Demon lords can't drown in a little rain.
