Burrito Boy Strikes Again

Jul 15, 2006 09:11

Some person in Taichi club said that "frequent coffee users" show reduced brain activity in the mornings, before they've had the first cup.
Yeah. I would argue, except I spent the morning in a fog and I can't remember what I was planning on writing in here yesterday..... *chug*

Oh yeah!
remember that crazy dude at the grocery store who offered me a burrito and told me he did all sorts of secret martial arts....? )

If you ever want a good solid dose of Crazy, go to a soup kitchen. I occasionally help out at a "community meal": I bring a casserole, serve, then go eat with the people. Two things are really notable: how very patriotic they are (these extremely poor people have many family members in the armed services in Iraq) and how much mental illness there is.

Good point. Burrito boy does seem to be on the normal side of crazy.

I suppose it makes sense that the very poor would join the military - and you would think the army is a good escape. But drive through a post town and all you see are fast food restaurants, pawn shops, adult bookstores and strip clubs. And a Ranger Joe's.
It's telling. Take a history class and you might learn that the Great Wall of China was built on conscripted labor, desperate labor and broken bodies. And we call it barbaric like it doesn't happen anymore.

Anyway, soup kitchen....I'm going to have to give that a try sometime. On the serving end that is.
