♞ LACOUR

For such a small continent, Lacour has a very large population, resulting in some very big cities. Since there is so much civilisation in the area, Lacour has become deadlocked; there are no towns, no villages, nothing beyond the six cities that make up the entire island. Since each of the cities are so close together, they act like one very large metropolis, even with the differences in culture, business and environment within each individual city. Lacour is where people go to make something of themselves; most of the cities are loud, busy, and generally unpleasant to live in, but the continent still provides the greatest chance for people to develop their talents and turn them into something viable. People that live in Lacour also generally make the most per capita; if someone were to work there for a few months, they would be set to live well for another few months without working in Deningrad, or even for a few years in some of the smaller settlements in El.

♟ Major Cities and Towns

Armlock, known as a cultural capital of the world, has a great deal of theatres, art galleries and festivals. There's always something going on, and it almost always appeals to those that think in an artistic way, which means that Armlock has come to house some of the best creative minds in the world. It's not unusual to find entire blocks of individual art studios, rented out by students after they had finished their education in an attempt to make a name for themselves.

Deiling, once a year, is home to the biggest political convention in the world. This has meant that the city itself has become known as a place for politicians to meet and discuss their policies; a great proportion of the population has a degree in politics, law, or something else similar. It is by far the most serious city, simply because of the attitude of the people that both live and visit there.

Indel has a port. A very big port. In fact, the vast majority of the city is either part of the port or deals with port-related things, such as dealing with newcomers' needs. It has a number of souvenir shops, and this is where Lavour's passport office is stationed. There are a number of aquariums and the like for visitors, but mainly the port is used to dealing with more businessmen commuting from one place to another.

Donau is possibly the most pleasant-looking of all of the cities. It appears to be more like an enchanted town, filled to the brim with plants that flower all year around. As with many other places in the world, Donau is where people go to when they are fed up with the fast and furious pace of life that the rest of the continent brings; despite being so close to Indel, which is more industrial, Donau's city council does its best to make sure that the city forever keeps the semi-rural atmosphere.

Fletz, just as Donau does, makes an attempt at looking vaguely suburban. What makes this city different to the others, though, is that it is a gated community; it is difficult to get around, or even to get into the city without proof that you live there, or that you're going to visit someone else that does. This feel means that the majority of people that live in Fletz become rather introverted, and those that live outside of the iron gates have little-to-no idea about what goes on inside...

Esthar happens to be the largest city on the island, but given how things have worked out, it's difficult to tell that. Unlike many of the other cities, that are based around one or two different things, Esthar's size has meant that it's very much a variety; there are loud nightclubs, quieter faux-suburban streets and some very serious business offices. Just like Armlock, there's always something going on, but unlike Armlock, it's not always for the arty type.
