♞ DENINGRAD
The largest continent in the world, Deningrad is known for its majesty, despite not having a monarchy for over five hundred years. As is with any huge country or continent, Deningrad has a variety of things to see and a number of very different towns and cities; there is very little that can be said that is true for the entire continent. The size of Deningrad is both a blessing and a curse; any thirst to travel can be quashed without leaving it, but it also means that the residents of the land may see no reason at all to leave, limiting their experiences and thus, their horizons.
♟ Major Cities and Towns
Nede, though there are some far more efficient methods of travel, is a city of elaborate monorails and young, up-and-coming entrepreneurs. The location has a steampunk feeling about it, shades of copper and amber seen throughout the city, with large, olde-style clocks and gears decorating the streets. Nede is where inventors meet and where they rent their studios to design and create.
Alexandria has been around for over four thousand years, which shows strongly in its design and architecture. Many ruins sit in Alexandria, though it's unusual for those who live in the city to go out of their way to visit them; they're more tourist attractions, bringing in historians, ruin-lovers and those of certain religions from around the world.
Moonflow is the city of eternal night; both of the moons hang low in the sky all of the time, and those that live there sleep much more and much better than average. In the centre of the city a large statue of a single crescent hangs in mid-air, surrounded by the world's largest collection of handmade dreamcatchers, one of which is made by each child born in the city. Moonflow is a time where time appears to go slowly, lazily, and the presence of mana seems much more prevalent; those with powers find their abilities much stronger within the city's walls.
Bevelle directly contrasts Centra; instead of it being a sweltering summer all year around, in Bevelle it is winter, with a brief break for spring before returning to the coldest season. It is unusual for there not to be fresh, unmarred snow upon the ground, and for it to be warm enough to travel outside without a coat and large, fluffy earmuffs. In this world's version of the Santa story, Santa Claus himself hails from Bevelle, causing people to dress up in red and white, hang beautiful banners upon the houses and hold a festival for the last two weeks of December.
