Well, if you're serious about doing that, tell me so I can unlock the post. ;)
But, I'm glad I was able to capture it for you. I just, argh. So many feelings from this ep, and did we really need Kid Fucking Rock? No, no we did not. Bah.
That's still about all I can say. I can only imagine how he and Mac explained it to everyone else. And wonder if Danny held him when he was getting all of it out later.
Strangely fitting that one of our top stories today is on how police officers and firefighters mentally get past the worst incidents.
I can't even begin to figure that out. How do you tell people that the second in command is now a victim? You know, I was sort of irked by Hammerback and Hawkes talking in hushed tones about the case. I mean, I know they had to talk about it, but Sid asking "What happened?" just sort of tweaked me. Like, you're gossiping? But, then I calmed down and realized that he needed info, but still. You know? You know he totally did. :X
I didn't watch it until it was done taping...only because I was distracted(andIhavedomesticviolenceissuesmmkay?motherhadaproblem) - but WOW. I seriously LOVED last night's episode (and truthfully I love Monroe and everything - but she may have flipped out because she coulda been raped before? I mean why else would she be ACTING that way!?)...
Don was eeee! I was all "Awwweeeee" over how cute and sweet he was, unlike with other victims, he was SUCH an awesome friend!
I watched this ep from behind a box of tissues as I have my own issues, but it was portrayed well and I'm very happy with it as a whole. Well, the A-plot, anyway.
I don't think Lindsay's been raped before. But. I do think her "dark secret" has something to do with violence. Either she or someone she knows has dealt with it in the past. Maybe that's part of the reason she moved to NYC. I dunno. I want to know more, though. *pokes TPTB*
Don was wonderful, because he was a friend. But, he was also a detective. The two sides meshed beautifully. Like twincy mentioned in her review, when he said "Your hands are shaking. You wanna take a break?" I melted. And he could be a friend to Stella because is is a friend. With anyone else, he's just Detective Flack. Nothing more, nothing less. Sure, he offers a kind word here and there, but he can't be anything more than the badge allows him to be. He makes a promise and doesn't follow through? The department has to take the heat.
I know! I was like "Hello! Could this been done any better!?"
^_^;
Don's a good friend - and despite anything I'm prone to say about him, in all honesty...I'd want him as a friend to...but the reach for a cheek-kiss would be pretty damn high so a hug and pat on his back would work for me. :)
