It's definitely been a strange few weeks around the Talon apartment and, well, in Smallville in general. More than usual. Chloe wasn't talking to Clark, of that Lois could be certain. And Clark just got that pouty 'I don't want to talk about this' look on his face whenever she mentioned Chloe to him, so clearly, there was something going on.

And Lois Lane meant to determine what it was. So tonight when Chloe returns from... wherever it is she goes to work all day, Lois is ready for her, donuts neatly plated and cinnamon apple tea brewing.

"Hey, cuz, Long day?"
