Seriously, read it today. In honor of the rally. It brings a whole new perspective to the matter than can only be truly grasped through literature.

If this isn't possible, at least read the first few pages that Amazon.com offers.

aside from the book issue that is being posted, I understand your stance whole-heartedly. I come from a third generation fence hopping family, yes we were illegal, but we did our damndest to learn English and adopt many American ways of life. The reasons behind the protests are not valid in my mind. They are that of pissed of Mexicans that complain because this isn't Mexico! "We don't speak spanish. .there aren't any mexiacn signs, I can't get my license. . " I am all up for it if they were to put their foot into the water. . you need to try sometimes to get what you want. . mirt

Well stated, and I completely agree. I think analyzing the social and economic impacts of immigration, legal or not, is the key to finding a viable and efficient resolution.
