Cyclops sat in a dark corner and waited for Gambit. The Professor had told him he would be here and had informed the guards of his plans. There was actually so many guards hidden in the complex and around it, that if World War III were to start, this would have been the US's headquarters. They weren't taking any chances. But Cyclops knew that even with all this man power, it probably wasn't enough. Scott wanted to try and reason with him first, try to see why the theif had gone back to stealing.

As he stood in the corner with his arms crossed, he saw a flash of a shadow and a figure drop onto the floor with no sound. It was Gambit alright. The large gem was incased in a heavily fortufied glass case with so many trip alarms and pressure sensors, it was overkill.

Scott stepped out from the shadow's just as Gambit stood up to the glass and raised his hand to his visor, "That's far enough Remy." He said in a serious tone.

With a small smile Gambit looked over at the x man, he was not really suprised to see him. " Dis here is a private party eyeball " he said as he vanished into the shadows. Say what you want about Gambit but the truth was he was a master thief and he could vanish easily. From the darkness his voice came once again

"Reason or stop. Which ever YOU choose." He said flicking his visor slightly. "You can't hide Remey. You know that just as well as I do." He had his combate visor on which was equiped with night vision and heat seeking. He spotted Gambit planted in the dark and grinned, "I wouldn't move too fast if I were you. Why are you trying to steal again Remey? You could have had a great life with us at the Mansion and you still can."

Gambit chuckled, he knew that he was being scanned by a heat sensitive scanner. Casting his eyes around he found what he needed a smal box full of screws, obviously left by some carless builder. Reaching into it gambit took out a handfull and charged them. He luanched him self in the air as he threw the bolts to the ground, the effect was as he had hoped. The series of small explosion seemed to be overloading scotts heat scanner with light. Gambit sat up in the rafters lazily looking down at the gun ho xman ( ... )
