Ahhh...I have to work today. Egh. 1-6.30 = leeeeehm. Oh well. Maybe I'll get paid. Probably not, though. Okay I haven't gotten paid yet. I have definitely been slaving away for the PacSun Lords. I feel very...feudal. Last night I went with Ana, David, and Ian to see The Corpse Bride. It was pretty cool. I cried, but then again, when don't I cry at ( Read more... )

I <3 PacSun. However, malls are far, far away from UCF. Well, they are when you don't have your own transportation. >_< I liked Corpse Bride, but I felt like it was... kind of forced. Especially musically. Elfman had his hands full this year, and it didn't really seem like he was at his best for Corpse Bride. It was a cute movie, but it felt like it was missing something, and there were parts where I felt as though Burton was trying too hard to fit the image people have of him, rather than just being flat out crazy. =\

yeah i completely agree. some songs i really liked, but none compared to elfman's usual work. i also agree with the forced part. it seemed like burton was in some sort of rush just to finish it, which left it lacking in some areas.

(i totally loved the dog, though.)

I agree. Also, everything was tied together in a very general way. Also, a lot was left hanging at the end. There were no specifics of the murder, and no closure as to the "happily ever after". I would have liked more. It was only 77 minutes long. But I digress, it was cute. I LOVED the skatting, jazzy skeletons and such.

Peace!
