I just have too much stuff. And no, I'm not getting rid of any of it. The problem is that I need more room. But I don't have any room, because I have a small ( Read more... )

Hate to Rain on the Pack Rat Parade... kestapooh November 8 2005, 04:28:58 UTC
You guys are ridiculous. I swear I should just be a guy. I do not have enough shirts to get me through a 2 week period. Why else do I wear practically the same thing every week? Oh yeah, and I own 4 pairs of shoes, 6 if you count my dressy shoes. From about the time I was born to, oh say, 9th grade I only ever owned one pair of shoes at any time. 10th and 11th grade I had 2 pair. You guys are fucking excessive. BTW You'll never need a Bert and Ernie shirt. Where the fuck does all this money come from to buy shit? I spend a good $200 per year on shirts, and then purge my closet of most items every year for charity or the trash if it isn't in perfect condition.

i agree that i'm excessive. a good portion of my clothes and shoes i have had for several years, though. (ie: i got that bert and ernie shirt in 9th grade, which i will totally need if i ever decide to audition for Sesame Street on Broadway) i dunno, stuff just accumulates. i usually don't do a specific school starting shopping spree - i just buy things throughout the year. i don't have a problem giving money away, whether it is loaning it to my friends or just giving it to a homeless person. i just get attached to my stuff.

You should become a broadway star! Teehee but didn't you say you already gave it away? I'm confused. I know how it is with attachment. I used to have an entire dresser filled with stuff from or with all my friends dating back to kindergarten. It's hard to let go of, but when do you actually use/wear any of it? When I had to finally clean out my room for my new furniture, I had to throw a lot of it away. And now I don't mind at all. It's like exercising. Hard to get it started but when it's all over, you feel much better.

P.S. I'm never buying you or Meghan clothes ever again. Fluff you, you're getting candy.
