Okay, Private Practice, no. This is not okay. You have never made me angry until today. I don't usually post while something is airing, but I am just so pissed off about this I have to.

The woman was not conscious. Her husband had sex with her. That is rape. Period. End of story. This is a case of a clear right and wrong. There is no debate to be had. The woman could not consent to sex. Having Sam defend him (and yes he was defending him, and so were the others besides Addison), was not okay. I don't care how deluded the man was. He wasn't insane, and he knew what he was doing. It was rape. The man should be in prison. End of story. Stop painting her as irrational when she's right. I wouldn't want to sleep with a man who was defending a rapist either.

Edit: Having gotten to the end of the episode, my point still stands. Yes, the man needed therapy, but that does not mean he should not have been in prison or maybe a secure mental ward or something. He at least needed to be arrested and have a trial. Simple therapy is not enough. He raped his wife (or his wife's body since she most likely wasn't in there anymore).
