Okay so originally, this idea is from whitewriter. She set up the House secret santa last year and i thought it was a great idea and had lots of fun doing it!!

Welcome to the sign up page for the first Private Practice Fic-Giving-athon 2008 !
The idea behind this idea, is that with the Silly Season of Giving coming right up, this is the perfect opportunity to play “Secret Santa” with fanfic as gifts.
Overall Theme:

Who can sign up to play:
1. Those who write fanfic which contains a PP pairing as main theme * ^
2. Those who read fanfic which contains PP pairing as main theme *^
*in a friendship, professional, romantic relationship
^ Mention of other characters is accepted of course.
How This baby’s gonna run :
1. Those who are interested sign up by posting a comment at the bottom of this page.

Three elements I want my fic-present to include:

Anything else that you do not write: (pregnancy fic, crossover etc, pairing you don’t want to write about)
Would you like to be a beta for this event?:
2. I will collect all the forms, and pair up writers with corresponding interests (eg. I won’t give out assignments containing smut to those who do not write it) and send out a challenge to all participating on Saturday November first.
3. Those who received assignments get writing!! -- Please not that all fanfics must be beta’ed. If you do not have a beta, there will be a few who are provided for the event. Watch this space for some names to pop up. [by the way: does anyone *have time* to be a beta ? :P ]
4. Fanfic’s should be written and beta’ed by 15th of December (17th at the latest!!)
5. Fanfic’s should be posted to your own LJ by the 17th, and a link sent to xsilent.screamx(at)yahoo.fr to be included in the master fic list.
6. Master list should be posted by 20th of December for everyone to read.

Sign up at this page closes on Saturday November 1st [I’ll be lenient with time zones]
A Welcome email will be sent to your address to confirm the details in your sign up sheet.
Fic-challenges will be handed out by Saturday November 1st
Deadline for when the fics must be finished, posted and a link sent to xsilent.screamx(at)yahoo.fr by 17th December, 2007
Hopefully, a full list will be posted up at pp_fic for everyone to receive their fic-presents from on the 20th of December.
Rules:
1. Please don’t sign up unless you genuinely believe you can comply by the dead line dates. I’ve made them a little more flexible this time & if you have any problems with compliance, let me know so I won’t be all worried or mad when I don’t receive your entry.
2. If you sign up as a writer, you will have a much higher probability of receiving a fanfic in return (Unless worse case scenario: the person drops off the face of the net etc. ) If you sign up as a reader-only, I do not guarantee that your fic will get written. If you are or are not to receive a fic, you will be notified via email [and maybe a post at pp_fic, but no promises]
3. Please list an email that you check regularly so that I can reach you if need be. If you’re really private with your email address, you can send it to me at xsilent.screamx(at)yahoo.fr
4. All fics are to be beta’ed. This is very important, no matter how fabulous you think your fanfic is. While you do not have to comply with all suggestions made by your beta, it is strongly suggested that you at least take them into consideration.
5. There is no word limit, but with at least 7 weeks to write it, something substantial would be nice!
6. At least 10 people must sign up ... or I won't be able to run it as well as it should and it will be *cancelled*.
Note: I am looking for a few beta’s that don’t mind being on standby for any of the writers who don’t have one.
