A small black owl pecked itself on the door leading into the sixth years' dormitory quickly and rather loudly until Cecilia moved about with a disgusted look on her face. She pulled the door open, and noticed a small parcel attached to it. She snatched the thing from the wretched bird and shooed the creature away.
"Looks like you've got a gift," she cooed, handing it out to Pansy after reading the label. "Tell me what it is later?" She then moved on out to visit Riley.
The parcel was wrapped in silver paper with a bright green bow. It was not signed.
Nodding to the retreating girl, Pansy turned the package around, looking at it from all angles. She'd been showered with gifts that morning from her family, finding herself flooded with new clothes and many little trinkets that she adored but would never have any practical use for. Of course, she expected plenty more before the day was done.
Not wasting any time, she pulled at the bow and opened the package, eager to see what was inside.
Wrapped in a black satin box with pale green tissue paper was a small silver thimble. It hung on a beautiful silver chain. It shimmered in the low lights. A small card was on the bottom of the box.
"A kiss."
The idea had hit Cormac when he had recieved the very same present. It seemed suiting to him at the time.
The present seemed... odd. It was odd. Pansy tilted her head to the side as she lifted the chain up and stared at the strange silver thing the hung from it. Though she was sure she'd seen one before, Pansy had no idea what a thimble was.
She lifted out the card, taking it in as well. A kiss? What kind of loon would send me something like this?
Confused, Pansy put the card and the necklace back into the box and folded the silver paper around it. She tucked it away in her nightstand. She would have to find out what that was all about....
