I love how in the end, realizing the thing about medicine, he seems to like that part. I've always pegged Pete as a potions/healer type person, and that seemed really fitting.
The scene with the Slytherins was horrible, and I wanted to punch them all. lol. But it really all makes sense, from the very beginning to the very end, and it really helps to explain some of his actions later on in life (as far as canon is concerned).
Great job, really. I love it.
