Recently, one of my many many older sisters sent me, and the bazillions in her address book, an e-petition to restore prayer in public schools.

This was my response replied to all:

I would sign, but worry about what prayer the government would then force onto the teachers and the students. I would agree, but only if I was sure that the prayer

The response was very limited.

And, my sisters would completely disagree with your sentiment. They would point to the above as a prime example of how I make it harder for them to love me. But it's all good--our blood is so much thicker than the water under the bridge. (wow! now THAT's a ridiculously mixed metaphor)

I'd sign that petition in a second. It's not organized religion itself that I have a problem with, it's the scores of mindless zombies that it creates.
