I was in line today at Office Depot when the man in front of me dropped something. I reached down and picked it up for him, handed it to him and then he thanked me, and I smiled a "you're welcome." A second or so later he turned around and said to me,

"You have a beautiful smile, what a pretty girl you are."

You and I need to do some shopping together .. because I keep finding that all plus size clothing manufacturers are convinced that anyone over a size 12 is under 5'6" ... which is problematic for my 5'9" frame ...

I think between the bad shopping juju we both have - if we tag-team, we'll be ahead of the game! *lol*

Lane Bryant is the place you should go, everything is for tall chicks there.

My problem is that I'm too tall for petite (and even if the petite does fit me at the store, it's too short once I wash it and it shrinks up), but too short for average. :(

Yea, I have that problem too .. I buy pants in talls with the expectation they will shrink up to where they need to be within two washings. It's a pain in the ass.

At least at this point I'm outwardly portraying the fact that I feel good about myself. The majority of the time, though, I'm still completely unsure of myself and feel inadequate. I'm working on it, though. :)
