The Aura Star Pradeda is a colonial escort ship converted to a more scientific purpose. Specifically, Pradeda carried hopes for the terra-forming of a new system by carrying the sample DNA of all animal life encountered so far. As it would have been infeasible to carry the animals themselves. As with all converted escort ships, there are cloning pods aboard. While many other escort ships are filled with cloning pods, due to the space taken by the Pradeda's cargo, it only had room for a small number of cloning pods. There are also several domesticated animals within the ship's forested section.
Roughly three years ago, an epidemic broke out in the FSA quadrant resulting in the destabilization of the fragile core planets. Plants and animals suffered while humanity remained unaffected, until eventually even the atmosphere began to deteriorate at a rapid pace. Within six months, half the worlds had been lost. Within ten, none of the planets were inhabitable anymore. Thus began the Exodus, as the allied governments rushed to build what would be the hope of all humanity: the Adoprisa, a goliath of a ship that houses over five hundred million people in cryo-stasis. The best of the best that humanity has to offer, filled with those who were saved before the planets collapsed.
The Adoprisa is the passenger ship, made in too short a time to properly maintain everything, and thus it is escorted by over two dozen other smaller ships. Engineering crews and maintenance ships constantly hovering around the main ship like insects and repairing anything that goes wrong, scouting ships built for speed to look ahead and clear the paths, a good dozen warships to protect the Adoprisa, and then the small amount of scientific ships filled with scientists who would design terra-forming projects during the passage of the Adoprisa.
The Aura Star Pradeda was one of the few scientific ships, housing a dozen top scientists who were constantly working on the maintenance and upkeep of creature DNA through the journey, as well as adapting whatever alien lifeforms that the scouting ships would come into contact with.
Should anything happen to this ship, it is expendable in order to protect the Adoprisa. Therefore, should there be any signs of trouble on the Pradeda, the first order is to abandon ship and continue the journey to safeguard the Adoprisa. The Meliora class Sceint Nocia was to take over the Pradeda's work should anything come to pass.
And now... something has.
NOW.
Access to the computer will confirm that the Meliora class Pradeda is stuck at the edge of the gravitational pull of a black hole. What happened? There is no data about this in the ship's log. Passengers will wake up to a broken ship, as the right side of the hull is severely damaged and the engines have come to a complete stop. With no memory of ever having been here, no knowledge of how the Meliora ships work, and having never encountered technology like this before, it's up to the individuals to figure out what's going on and how to stay alive.
Also... what happened to this ship? Where's the Adoprisa?
Every room on the Pradeda has an advanced holographic computer screen which can transmit video calls to specific rooms or to every room. While hallways may lack these screens, the audio of the broadcast will be played. Why is this so important? Because every room is sealed air-tight in case of any leaks in the system, and there are oxygen monitors everywhere.
The computers look like this in each room except for the personal shared quarters, where there is no space for such a thing. Audio may be heard there, but video feed will be lost. Keyboards are holographic, just like the computer projections. Tapping a certain area on the holographic screen will extend a holographic keyboard before you so that you may type journal entries as well as record visual ones.
All computers are accessible to everyone, although certain files will be passcode protected and also require a security card. The computer provides basic file encryption available to all users, but those with advanced knowledge or abilities may be able to break the encryption.
