[What Chell finds, at first, is a black-and-white jousting lance, in the center of the room. Most of it has been covered in what could easily be blood if it weren't a deep indigo.

The young troll, however, is in the corner of one of the stalls with his legs pulled up, and his face in his knees, his shoulders trembling. His clothes are discard under the running shower. He's managed to scrub his hands clean, but his shirts are stained with the same dark violet-blue from the lance.]

She kneels next to the lance, reaching for the weapon and coming away with some of the strange substance on her fingers. After that, Tavros is not terribly difficult to find and Chell takes a few tentative steps towards him, kneeling down and placing a hand on his shoulder.

[Tavros doesn't notice her approach, and as she touches him he pulls away violently, terrified - but stops and calms down again when he sees who it is. Watery brown tears are running down his face, and he attempts to wipe them away with one arm]
