[Rose is contemplative when she appears on the communications screen this time, no longer confused but thoughtful.]

Has anyone here heard of 'First Earth' before? It might give us an idea when we are. The exact term, or even similar ones might help. I'm guessing it means we're from after Earth's gone, but I'm also betting each universe has a time ( Read more... )

I know someone else was saying to me on the first day that there was more than one Earth where she was from, an Old Earth and a New Earth. Haven't heard "First Earth" yet, though. Where'd you hear that term?

[Oh, wow. So...that would be the pony she'd heard about, then. Or rather, the unicorn.] There was a file that showed up on the computers for a bit that mentioned a 'First Earth'. It's gone now, but it might still be a clue.

[A talking unicorn might rank among the strangest things she's seen, but it's by far not the only one.] It...was some sort've report about a plant or an AI or...somethin' they were trying to cultivate. Didn't have much information besides naming a couple planets and out of context observations.

Well...that's what the ship's record implied, anyway. I figure if anyone else's memories match up with it we might have an idea what universe or time we're in.
