Can anyone hear me? My name is Hiiragi. I'm not sure what exactly is happening, but it seems highly based off of Sci-Fi. Hmm... perhaps this is solely a means to contact the aliens. In that case, I have only to mention that I want to make peace and let Earth be left alone. I will offer anything I can, although I am only a child. I am also unable to ( Read more... )

Ummm, hey, I'm Tavros. I guess, if you are from Earth, then you're probably human, in which case, I would be an alien, but, I don't really know what is going on, any more than the humans do, maybe even less. If you tell me where you are, though, I could help you with the computer?

An alien!? You're an alien!?

[Processing... processing....]

This is truly an amazing discovery. Let me see... Since my arrival, I have located my belongings already by sneaking on with someone else to the elevator. I am currently next to this elevator, on the floor where rooms would traditionally be found. I believe.

[A little weirded out that this child sounds so calm despite the situation, but hey, a child in need is a child in need, right?]

If you're too small to reach the computers, you might be small enough to ride on my back! Where are you? I can come give you a lift if you need.

[She's been much too conditioned by sci-fi movies and rocket science books to not be calm. In fact, she's excited.]

I'm currently by the elevator, on the floor near the rooms. May I ask, are you an alien?

Oh, uh, no! I'm a pony. Unless you consider ponies aliens? [Laughs.]

A... talking... pony? [You can just hear the rising excitement. She's speechless.]

[And the voice of another child answers in turn.]

Yes, peaceful relations with extraterrestrial species is well important in all, but that is our furthest concern at this moment.

Really? My apologies, is there something I missed while sealed in the cryo-chambers?

There is something this ship seems to be drifting towards; I believe they called it a... singularity? A black hole?

[You can hear her shock. And then a small gasp as she turbo-boosts into scientist-mode.]

A gravitational singularity is a location where the quantities that are used to measure the gravitational field become, for all intents and purposes, infinite, in a way that does not depend on the coordinate system. When a star collapses, the use of space creates a super-nova followed by a black hole, and within a black hole a singularity is found, surrounded by an event horizon. In simple terms, it will cause infinite weight and minimal size, thus primarily destroying the laws of physics usually to become known in junior high school. Although there are theories to claim that they do not exist, this remains open-ended due to the inability to investigate closely without destroying expensive material in the process.

[She's calming down now, but her voice is still quick and excited.] In layman's terms: We are on the path to certain doom. You are correct in assuming the aliens are currently irrelevant.
