This reminds me of a time back when I was an operational manager for a local company. One of the guys on my team happened to be a Vietnam Veteran and we got to talking one day. 30 or so years later and the pain is still there...ive spoke with many vietnam vets and i have felt their pain...it really is sad...

Completely agreed. It (how those vets were originally treated) is a period of shame, like a permanent black mark, that has been all but quietly swept under the rug by our nation.

I actually spent the day over at mom's helping her do yard work. :D

Again, I didn't serve in "combat" but so long as you understand that, you're welcome. Thank you for passing along the word of thanks to your brother though.

It doesn't matter that you didn't serve in "combat." You served. That's all that matters. =)

my dad (who is now 90 yrs. old) was in the air force and joined up when it was known as "the army/air corp."...
my brother was marine, and my uncle in the army..

all of you guys are awesome...
