There are few things that please me so much in life as producing smoke with my handsaw.  Yes, boys and girls, I saw so quickly that the friction actually raises the temperature of the wood, however briefly, to over four-hundred degrees Fahrenheit

Specifically, I'm finally finishing a knife I started making some ten years ago. It has languished in storage, and now I have pulled it out, and it is nearing completion!
