i know i just said this on facebook, but mark my words: eleanor wachtel is going to be working at an indigo books in 6 months, while ed the sock hosts writers & company. rick the temp will inevitably take over for michael enright, and peter mansbridge will be replaced by one of the kids from the new degrassi.

apparently he did some spots on canadian children's television, and hosted a national geographic special? now there's some journalistic pedigree!

anyway, it's entirely possible he'll be fine at the job; but to sack barbara budd under false pretences?!

Come now. The National Geographic Channel has produced some fine programming. Take, for example, "The Secret of Da Vinci's Code," "True Secrets of the Da Vinci Code," and my own favorite, "Da Vinci and the Code He Lived by."
