I'm so sorry to hear about this. He sounds like a wonderful person - thank you for sharing a little bit about him. I'm also glad that you got to spend time with him near the end - I did that with my grandmother, and it made all the difference. *Hugs*

Thanks, and **hugs** back. Spending time with him at the end and before was really good for me--it made letting go more of a step in a process, if that makes sense.
Thank you. While there are things about his care I wish had been different, it did go about as well as one could reasonably expect. He made it through the holidays, which made it easier in many ways.
