Okay, so it's all op dvd now, and it's XMEN: THE ANIMATED SERIES. And Rogue/Gambit was my first 'ship. And Jean/Scott was my second. So yeah. I have no shame. Long live the X-Men!

ZOMG YOU ARE MAKING ME WANNA REWATCH THAT SHOW FOR THE ZILLIONTH TIME. at least when it comes to the Asteroid M eps.

Rogue/Gambit = OTP 4-EVER + EVER + EVER. And I always loved Jean/Scott in spite of themselves. (wonder if my bro's in the mood for X-men Evolution, he hasn't seen it yet and I've been wanting to rewatch it...)

YES! Gambit and Rogue -- it's like WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE! And yes, Jean/Scott are a pairing that almost is like "whyyy????" and then they're like the mom and dad of the team but they can be interesting! They can! XDDD (Oh! Evolution! Okay, so in the comics I ship Kitty/Pete Wisdom, but there's something about Lance/Kitty that is so irresistibly cute! Altho my one complaint with Evolution is the weird crush Rogue has on Scott. It's so out of left field!)

There was also the ep where Gambit went back to cajun country and his old gf tried to enslave him (...or whichever) and Rogue had to save him. I damn near wore out the tape on that ep...

Jean/Scott are so ridiculous and dumb that I always got the feeling that you're not even supposed to like them...but then, look at them, they're so stupid for each other! Though I gotta admit, I never really liked Scott until X-men Evolution. All his stick-up-the-ass annoying bossiness is so much more sympathetic when he's a 17 year old trying really really hard to be the responsible one.

Haven't really read the comics (keep meaning to, I got scanlations of most of it, but - there's sooo much!) but oh! Lance/Kitty was killer cute. ...actually Kevin/Gwen has shades of Lance/Kitty, now that I think about it. What can I say, I'm pathetically weak to bad boy/good girl ^^;;;;)

OMG! "Xternally Yours"! I just watched that last night! And, yes, I definitely wore the tape out as well (That and the episode in the Savage Land where Rogue didn't have her powers and they KISSED! I would just rewind and rewatch!) And yes, you were supposed to want Jean to wise up and like Logan, but! I mean, it's Jean and Scott! And I agree with the love of Scott in Evo! (I think his youth plus his lack of Jean makes him sympathetic XD)

Yeah, Kitty/Pete Wisdom was over like 10 years ago D: and then they de-aged her back to 16 so the whole Kitty/Pete romance was pretty "ick" but yeah while it was on it was great! But yes, Kitty/Lance and Gwen/Kevin is v. similar (even down to the mullets!) I kinda want them to double date now (you know Gwen and Kitty would meet at some insane overachievers thing like youth gov't and then they would become BFFs and decide their boyfriends would REALLY GET ALONG and Kevin and Lance would...in spite of themselves XDDD)

LMAO, I'm a total Logan/Marie shipper cos I have issue with Gambit. Every time I see him my immediate reaction to his smarming around is "GET A JOB, REMY" and then people are asking my why I'm telling a cartoon/movie/comicbook character to seek gainful employment.

But I love your icons! Lovely cropping, very appealing. Especially the first one on the second row.

I think I would ship Logan/Marie if I saw the movies first....but I saw the animated series first and so it's totally Gambit/Rogue and Logan/Yukio or alt!universe!Logan/Storm. I never really got the movie pumping Bobby/Rogue since the whole Bobby/Rogue vibe in the comic was more Bobby's (vaguely) homerotic hatred of Gambit...but I digress. I get how Gambit is a slacker but somehow...I dunno...it's my childhood. I just can't hate him even if he is a smarmy womanizer XDDDDDDD

But THANK YOU SO MUCH for liking the icons! The specific icon in question is from one of my fav comics ever, and I just NEEDED to try and show the starkness of the comic panel. :D :D :D

The order I recall being introduced to Xmen was comicbooks (when I was six and not shipping anyone) and then a combo of the movie and whatever reruns of the cartoon they were showing. I just had a violent reaction to Remy as soon as he got onto the screen, so they started their shipping with Marie and I'm all nooooooooooo. My favourite character in the cartoon was Storm, though, cos she got to blow the most shit up. And ahahaha, yeah I never understood with what purpose Bobby had for even being inserted into that situation-- it's like the creators were like "OH, WE NEED CONFLICT" so they shoved him on in as some sort of weird triangle thing and called it a day.

STARK PANELS ARE LOVE. Honestly, the subtly of those things are what make them great. I never understand why the artists never use them in more dramatic contexts. They always end up as comedy ;___;

HAHHAHAHA -- yes, that's a pretty good reaction to Gambit. Sometimes I think he almost deserved being married to his first wife altho then I feel bad about thinking that XDDDDD

Storm was fun -- she was TOTALLY the most badass character on the cartoon. I KNOW it was supposed to be Wolverine but since they never LET him use his claws it was kinda "haha...u are lame." And Storm was supposed to be the most peace-lover-hippie one and yet she was always LIGHTENING DEFEND MY FRIENDS!

And yeah. Altho I was always weirded out by her foster-son in Africa. I mean, it was like, Oh-kay, his mom is still alive, he lives with his mom, hasn't seen you since he was a baby, and yet you are all like "SON!" But whatevs!

AND YES STARK PANELS FTW! Why are they not more in vogue? It saddens me down to the cockles of my heart! D: D: D:

Oh god. That second last icon there. I REMEMBER THAT COVER! My brother had that issue and it was my most favourite comic cover ever! (I was actually disappointed by the issue after seeing the cover XD) I swear, those two are like my first and only X-Men ship. mostly because I haven't really looked at anything X-Men in years and years and years and years XD

ALSO! On a comic reading note! Did you ever get around to reading the Umbrella Academy? I really need to get around to seeing if there's a new series of it coming up........ although with MCR apparently working on a new album and losing members and god knows what else, I don't know if Gerrard actually has time to be writing more comic books. XD

!!!!!!!!! I vaguely remember the cover as well, but I'm not sure I ever read it....was there not enuf Gambit/Rogue ♥ on the inside? Yeah, my knowledge of XMen sorta stops after Rogue and Gambit broke up the first time....as my interest in it was squashed...so yeah XDDD

And as to the Umbrella Academy, I have not basically because I have not read any comics in AGES! I have, however, just put in a request for the TBs at the local library. So in 3-4 weeks times, I SHOULD have them read! (And then I can squee over it with you!) and yeah, it seems like there's going to be no members left soon? Idk -- I didn't even realize they were making a new album! You can see how out of it I am!

Yay! Honestly I love both books so much but I think I might love Dallas best just because it's got all of #5's backstory in it and he's my favourite. ♥ I don't actually follow things myself, I just pick up what I hear from people who are actually into the whole bandom thing on my FL. But from what I recall hearing they were working on a new album (I think they were even to the point about naming the first single, although damned if I can remember the title)... and then suddenly people on my FL are all D: because Bob isn't in the band anymore and that's all I know XD
