I totally get you. Just in my case even IN highschool I'm not exactly philanthropic. Only thing is, a lot of people don't understand that being alone is not synonymous with lonely. It can be a very comfy feeling.

about the being alone bit...i never thought I could survive being alone, but since moving here and not really having time to go out with friends (hence spending the time for myself) I've realised how nice and important it is to actually take time for youself...and now the idea of being alone doesn't scare me:P

oh, and the tiger comment, I so agree!! I went on a safari/zoo thingy here and got to see live tigers somewhat not in a cage (more like we drove through the huge compound area where they stay) and I just fell in love with the tiger!! everything you said about it reflects my thoughts exactly ;)
