You know that part in ATONEMENT where Briony goes to see Cecelia when she's 17, and Robbie's there and they try and find a way to fix what happened? Yyyyyeah, when I read that part in the book, it didn't register that it DIDN'T really happen! So when I saw the film I just BURST into tears! It was horrible! I was like "OMG THEY DIDN'T GET TOGETHER AGAIN!?!?"

The movie really does help to clear up what happened. I remember after reading the book I was a little confused with the timeline of things to and couldn't decide what really happened and what didn't. The movie was so much more depressing for some reason. So sad! It's so tragic, and ugh, heartbreaking. Especially the part where Robbie is in front of the movie screen, it hurts my soul. D:

OMG I DIDN'T KNOW THAT EITHER. I was so upset when I was watching the movie and she was like "Oh, and none of that happened..." I was like OMG. And I burst in to tears.
