Finally some news about Ugie!  Unfortunately, it's not good news.  He was sentenced to 14 years in prison.  Here's the article from yahoo.

I can't believe we know a guilty man...but he isn't guilty...he's Ugie :(

something tells me he won't serve a lot of this sentence. i say he's out in 5 years, tops...hopefully. ugh, this pisses me right off.

I bet his lawyers are going to appeal the sentence and Pudge will break him out of prison.

thats bs i dont think ugie would have done that.. freaking law system.. we really could use ugie this year for the pen..

thought of you today when i got a Tejeda card... then the next pack i got a wagner one.. im like ahhh

I don't think Ugie did it either...in fact, I wonder if the guilty verdict had bribery/monetary conditions behind it. With their law system, I wouldn't be surprised :(.

His mother has said more than once that as soon as he was arrested a government official told her that he'd go free for a certain amount of $. Apparently after he was sentenced they tried to bribe her again, so I don't know. It's obvious that it's extortion. I mean, if 4 people were involved, why is Ugie the only one in jail for it? It's just a shame, b/c it couldn't happen to a greater guy. Sure, he had incidents where he went a little crazy but he's a genuinely nice person and it sucks that he has to suffer b/c Venezuela is messed up :(
