[Aww, someone's not happy. There's lots of Babeh Crying in the background.]

That's it. I've tried everything.

My own daughter was never this hard to please.

I've made faces, voices, tried every game in the book and still the child insists on screaming his lungs out.

And it started when you, Jane, left for more food.

So Jane, the child requests your ( Read more... )

[Zelda's not surprised by this. She's really not. Not given what she's heard from Erol and Jak. Yet, all the same, she's finding it hard to scrounge up words for him. Then again, it is Praxis. Zelda can feel herself just shudder when she attempts.]

...It... is not very good of parents to let their children cry. Are you trying to make your partner do all of the work, Sir?

[Does that even make sense? She racks her brain for something better.]

...Just... try your best...?
Or ask Sir Erol to help?

[OoC: THANK YOUUUUU. xD I accept partial responsibility for this!]

...Madam, I do not know what gave you the impression I was letting anyone do 'all the work' here, but it should be noted that you are wrong! I have done my best to please him. It has not worked and I am trying other avenues to get the child to stop crying.

It is unfitting for a kind voice such as yours to be so needlessly rude.

[What...? But she didn't even... Zelda would sooner trip over herself deliberately to say anything rude.]

I... was just asking an inquiry, Sir... I did not mean to offend you.

[She's never claimed she'd always be right. In fact, she expects to be wrong sometimes.]

...I... do not if this will work, but... perhaps you should sing to your child...?

If you don't mean to offend, my dear, may I suggest you do not insinuate irresponsibility?

And I have tried the songs I know--I doubt he can hear me over his own racket. But thank you for your suggestion. I can see you are an experienced mother.

[Not.]

It's a game. Use the baby to find her, it stops crying when you get close.

Have you pet it?

*Petting works well with her own baby so it must work with his! At least, that is what the female weapon thought.*

Yes, I have.

And I have bounced him and rocked him and lifted him up above my head and probably anything else you could think of!

...

But...thank-you-for-the-suggestion.
