[... Thunderstorm again. It's been a rainy month. In any case, sometime after classes are over, Raine will respond to the question.]

Hyt is one of the most difficult spirits to contact, mostly because of its solitary nature. So yes, it's very normal.

Oh, that's a relief. I was worried I'd somehow caused offence. Thank you for your help.

It's no trouble. It's better to try on sunny days, as well.

That's good to know. It's probably not done much have to stay inside today, then.

Hyt is... picky. About who they speak to.

I've noticed.

Well, as long as this is normal then I'll keep trying. Thank you.

If you would like some help, I had at one time formed a contract with Hyt myself.

You managed to speak with them? [She honestly has no idea what pronoun to use for Hyt and is instead imitating the ones people use when they mention it.]

If I may, how long did it take you to be able to communicate with them? And is there anything you know of that might offend them?

It's alright. When I'm back at the Welcome Center, I'll show you how.

I'm doing better than before, and if I think of anything I need, I'll let you know--after this storm is over. There's no reason to send anyone out in that mess.

...do you know if he's really gone?

Thank you.

I'm glad that time away from the town is helping. Is this weather any worse up in the mountains? It's dreadful in town.

Edward? I believe so, yes. We've yet to find any trace of him.

...if he's returned, it's probably for the best.

...I can't argue with that.

It's about the same, I would think. Besides, we have shelter enough. I'm sure it won't last that long.

Do you know how the others are faring?

I hope it calms soon, though I suppose the weather will only become more miserable as winter draws closer.

I have not heard, I'm afraid. I've been preoccupied with my attempts to speak with Hyt recently.

[Stormy days mean reading time to Terra, but she has no interest in braving the weather herself. Instead of getting bombarded with all the nastiness that's outside, she teleports to the library instead. Feel free to notice the green-haired woman suddenly near you, Porom.]

[After years of telling Mysidian children to respect magic and not to use it as a toy the thought of teleporting to the library instead of braving the storm doesn't even occur to her until she's there and looking through books.

When Terra suddenly appears Porom steps back with a quiet 'eek!' of surprise and drops the books she was carrying]

[Terra, in turn, stumbles back a step. She steadies herself against a bookshelf, though, then bends down to retrieve the book. When she straightens and hands it over, there's a contrite expression on her face.]

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you.

[She smiles as she slowly recovers from her surprise, recognizing Terra.]

It's quite fine, I should have been more aware. How is your new home?

Something Ceodore said would be interesting? I find that hard to believe.

Believe what you want.

He told me that Tellah had been here. He left shortly before we arrived.

[Hadn't he heard that? He... hadn't really registered it at the time.]

You mean we just missed him!?
