THANK YOU.
NO ONE APPRECIATES SOMEBODY TO LOVE THE WAY THEY SHOULD.

But I pretty much agree. With everything. Those are definitely my top five, excluding Jesse's Girl (I'd probably have put Bad Romance or Defying Gravity).

Also, obligatory FOB icon above.

EXAAAAAACTLY! I mean, I love both Somebody to Love AND Don't Stop Believing in different ways, but if we're looking at them on the epic scale, STL > DSB. Hands down. I just feel like people are too quick to put DSB as #1 because it was the ~first~ or whatever. Oh well.

Haha, Jessie's Girl will always be in my top five, I think. I just adored that performance. I tend to have a massive soft spot for anything Cory does, though.

OMG ICON LOVE FORREALZ <3

TY TY TY!

I'm so glad to find that people agree with how fabulously AWESOME AND SPECTACULAR this song/performance is. I legit get chills every single time I watch it. :)

Glad you like the list! The Journey Medley graphic was so much fun to make - really all of them were, since so many of the scenes have such awesome coloring already. Glee's a blast to color :)

And thanks! I don't post graphics THAT frequently, but I'm definitely going to give it a shot, since these graphics are pretty well-received. :D

It really was! It was the highlight of the episode for me as well, because I wasn't a huge fan of April. So I was more than thrilled when we got the huge group number :D

Haaa I will try! Thank you so much <3

I felt Somebody to Love is turning point in season one for me because it felt the club was starting to find its footing simply because it's the first time with all twelve.

If fact the only thing I didn't like about was the cutting out all of Artie's lines because I was shocked when I downloaded the track to see how much he was in it. But yeah they need to do it again.

Oh and I love how everyone just lumps the Regionals songs into "Journey Melody" it's like they're all so awesome they cannot be separated.

Exaaaactly. It was the first big moment with the Glee club as we know it and I think the season also started to have somewhat of a different feel to it after that as well. It was fabulous <3

I was surprised by that too! I'm always kind of shocked at the parts they do cut out during the show (Like a Prayer, for example - they cut out LOADS of that, which totally ruined it for me on the show.) Hopefully we can get a repeat FULL performance of Somebody to Love.

HAHAHA it's true though, you can't separate them! I tried, tbh, and it felt really weird. They're like one performance for me.

I really wished that they would have cut out the boys' Madonna song and done the full version of Like a Prayer. LaP just gave me chills when I heard it. Seriously. The gospel choir? Amazing. (Plus, the part that confused me was Jesse had a solo in it. Why make a production of putting him in New Directions and giving him a solo and then not showing it?)

I also was sad that Artie's solo wasn't shown in StL. I want a full performance of that one as well!!

Yeah, the boys' Madonna number seemed a little pointless, though I did kind of get why they decided to include it. Maybe they could have cut Like A Virgin down more? Oh well :/

I was very sad that Artie's solo was cut out - it seemed like he was getting shafted out of solos left and right until Dancing With Myself.

PREACH about Somebody to Love. As much as I loved Don't Stop Believing, I really felt STL was a fantastic performance that really showcased the first time the entire group came together. In all honesty, even though I adore the Journey medley, I felt like a full version of Somebody to Love, with a more even solo distribution, could have been a real contender against Bohemian Rhapsody at Regionals, especially given how much cleaner the choreo was and the meaning of the song. Plus, there's a reason why they used it to close the show for the Glee Live! tour.

Meh. I don't think they should touch STL again. Because of, well, how not good DSB 2.0 was.

DSB 2.0... had its issues. But even if they'd performed STL in full as it was shown in The Rhodes Not Taken, I still think it could've been a real contender against Bohemian Rhapsody. The choral build at the end, Amber Riley's high note, the clean-cut choreo, and the final chord make it a lot better of a well-executed group number than the Journey medley, which while energetic, was a little on the sloppy side.

Oh, you mean perform STL like the full single with the Lea, Cory, Kevin and Amber parts intact? Yeah. Agree. Seeing that in full would be awesome.

But, because of how, like you said, sloppy DSB 2.0 sounded. I don't want them to revisit another "group number," so others can get a slice of the pie. It was a nice idea, in theory, but, ack god.

I legit fist pumped when I got to your #1. I couldn't agree more. It's still my favorite glee song, and in my god-honest opinion the best cover glee has ever done and will EVER do. Period. I am a HYOOGE Queen fan, and I would pick this version over Queen's version any day. That performance was the moment that this show captured my heart. I was pretty much mirroring Will and Emma throughout that number.

I pretty much agree with every word of your commentary, even if I didn't agree with the song picked. Hello, I Love You was pretty much the only good part about Hell-O. That episode sucked balls, and it kind of boggles my mind when I see people say they prefer Hell-O to Audition in terms of comparing S2 parallel eps. Thong Song FTW. One of Glee's biggest fails was not making Papa Don't Preach a full single. Such a fail. Also, "Glee needs to do this more often, instead of just singing songs straight up. No more karaoke and more interpretations, plz." PREACH. Since the Hell-O almost all songs have been carbon copies of the originals. That ( ... )

YESSSS FIST PUMPING IS ALWAYS WELCOME. I can't help but stop and sway and sing along every time the song comes on shuffle. It's just gorgeous and brilliant and the show still hasn't one-upped it. I don't know if they can, unless they completely revamp it and cover it again.

I'm glad you liked the commentary! And people actually prefer Hell-o to Audition? I know Audition was far from the greatest episode of Glee, but it was miles better than that episode, lol. And LOL, the Thong Song does not get enough love. UNF. And I totally agree about the whole carbon copy thing. My favorite performances of s2 (Toxic, Teenage Dream, I Want To Hold Your Hand) have all been revamped and different versions. And with Teenage Dream being the top selling Glee song, you'd think they'd try and spice things up more.

And your rambling is much appreciated <3 :)

YES YES YES YES!!!! I'm a gigantic Queen fan and this is by far one of my favorite songs of all time but I absolutely LOVE the way Glee did it. The Glee cast version has more plays than the Queen version in my iTunes. That says something.

I also don't know about you, but every time Glee does Queen, I think they do them absolute justice. I *loved* Bohemian Rhapsody (as a show choir junkie in high school, their stage performance was AMAZING) and I also liked Another One Bites the Dust. But StL just takes the cake.

MOAR QUEEN! I really hope they do more songs from their catalog. I think Matthew would do well with one of their ballads. Tread lightly if they decide to give a song to one of the girls, though. Queen songs are pretty versatile (unlike these female artist tributes that induce second hand embarrassment when they ~have to give a song to the boys) which is nice. Select song for the select girl.

I remember being very excited when I heard BH and AOBTD was going to be sung on Glee. A bit of a *sadface* that it was VA, but, yeah, I really liked Groff on Bohemian Rhapsody. I thought he handled that song very well, I'm glad they gave it to him. Cory...I dunno. I dunno how well both of those songs would have sounded if they ended up being an ND, "group number."
