Apparently I updated on Sunday but completely forgot I did because I came to this post thinking "Man, I haven't posted in ages!* I should get on that." But nope, updated two days ago. I think I left my brain at work. On to other things that are much more important.

It's scary as fuck. Every single one of my friends is trapped somewhere. So thank you for making this post ♥

We need all the help we can get up here. My best friend has been trapped in her house with rapidly rising water for nearly five days, and they've spent most of that time trying to keep their horses from drowning. Christ, sometimes I hate Queensland.

The family I have up in Queensland are further south still, so they're okay for now but I have friends scattered about as well. I really hope the water recedes from your friend's place and that their horses all survive. The severity is phenomenal. Flooding happens every year, but I have no recollection of it ever being this bad.

Melbourne is set for rain and potentially flash flooding tomorrow but it won't be anywhere near what's happening up north.

We didn't think it would be this bad either. Be careful! My family is just out of it too, but it's hard to get food at the shopping centres due to the panic. And thanks. They got them to higher ground, but they're downhill from Tawoomba and they're running out of ground. Another friend of mine refused to evacuate the CBD when they set out the call today. NO ONE was prepared for this.

The problem is that we literally have not had five seconds of time where it wasn't raining. Since before Christmas. CRAZY. I got caught in the middle of the floods in Prosperine a few years ago, and even WITH the crocodiles it wasn't anywhere near this bad.

Also keep your fingers crossed that the low off the coast keeps on going down :| We should all just move to South Australia.

It just keeps getting worse and it's not even over. The river in Brisbane (Australia's third largest city) broke it's banks but isn't expected to peak until tomorrow and the city has been completely shut down with power companies cutting electricity.

Watching the news each day is heart breaking. Nobody in the country isn't affected. :(
