The days go by so rapidly. Normally, at this time, there would be many preparations taking place, as the holiday approaches. The island would be full of life, of laughing children and happy music. I sense no similar spirit here. Perhaps a little celebration could be of some benefit.

Forgive me, I am still learning about the worlds of others here. Which holiday is this?

May Day. Beltaine. A very important holiday opposite of Samhain.

....I am afraid a little more detail may be necessary. What do these holidays honour?

To explain it in full would take more time than I am willing to provide. However, Beltaine is the start of the summer harvest. We celebrate in hopes for a good harvest, execute rituals for purification and transition and for protection.

Not a party. A celebration.

I suspect I already know who this man might be. Miss Rose, I would be glad of the company.

I do hope so. I do not like spreading vicious rumors.

When would you care to meet? I would not wish to impose upon your schedule.

You're not imposing in the least. I take Renate walking at around six in the morning, sometimes earlier, then after luncheon and after supper.

Perhaps I could join you this evening, then? After supper? I admit that I am a bit impatient to be out.

That's 'cause no one's really into lighting people on fire around here... Most of the time.
