And Razette's wish. Labrador--Ilyusha--cried out a little, startled and aching with sympathy. It was the same. To give up life for those that are precious...

At Labrador's voice, she turned, and she smiled, but she did not let go of the knife.

Labrador... Castor-friend Labrador. Razette-friend Labrador.

Razette will protect. Is wanting to protect. Much.

Instead, she lifted it, pointed towards her chest like an arrow, and tilted her head.

A whistling sound and she made as though to drive the knife through her chest for completion.

...this is going to break my heart.

He doesn't move, just watches, bowing his head a little. This is a dream, her dream, her memory. There's no reason to stop it--people cannot die in dreams, particularly people who are already dead.

"He loves you. That's why he died for you."

It's why I died for them.

The knife goes through her chest, and sticks here. A blink of an eye, two, and looks up in puzzlement. Blood sprays from her chest, but she does not fall.

... why? Why Razette not go see Xing-lu?

Why Xing-lu not wanting to see Razette?

[Tsukasa runs over to her, and puts his hand on her shoulder.]

Please don't...

[At the touch on her shoulder, she merely turns and smiles, still clutching that knife. The other scaly hand, however, goes to caress her friend on the side of his face.]

Is going to Xing-lu. Friend not worry, please. Xing-lu happy if seeing Razette.

If see Xing-lu, is very happy! Xing-lu most precious. Precious, precious.

[Dominic isn't quite sure where he is, but none of that matters when he sees Razette--with a knife to her throat.]

Razette!

[The sudden shout startles her, and she turns, still clutching the knife.]

Is shouting...? Why is shouting...?

[unfearful]

[He runs towards her, hoping that she'll let go of the knife. Someone like her--she can't die. It isn't right.]

What are you--? You can't!

[A sombre smile.]

Razette okay. Razette will see Xing-lu. Happy to see Xing-lu.

[Similar to everyone else, he has no idea why he's here...But that hardly matters at her actions.]

Razette!

[He rushes in her direction. No, no, no, no, no--]

[She does not hesitate. The knife slices through her throat, and she falls silently, blood flowing rapidly from the open wound. In the end, she lies in a pool of her own blood, hair strewn and fingers still clutching that damnable knife.]

[There's nothing he can do. Nothing he can say. He just...stares, eyes wide, and hands falling limply at his sides. He's seen plenty of death and blood in his time, but this? This is different.

He doesn't move, not for a long moment, just staring in horror. And then he walks forward slowly.]
