it has to do with retribution. the japanese paid their pound of flesh (as it were) with the people of toyoko and the deaths with the bomb. italy killed their leader, thus paying their debt in blood.... the germans have done nothing.
so, they still are held as evil.

Italians are still kinda seen as evil it seems to me, but it's like the "cool" evil. We're still very attracted to the depiction of mobsters (though I'm still not sure why).
Wonder if people in the middle east will suffer a similar when/if things ever calm down over there, or if the Cubans will when/if they get out of Communism.

first time i saw the sopranos, it was a re-run on a saturday... and they were playing cards and eating... i figured, "hey, she was right!"
the middle east will never be seen as not evil, it's the whole christian vs thing...
cuba? totally. everyone wants to go back to havana....again, the lure of fun, fun, fun... and the knowledge people suffered.
