Well, due to reading from 9am to 3pm (maybe only a half hour of no reading. I'm a slow reader. grrr), I have successfully finished my book. It was actually 900 pages instead of 800. Ah well. Good stuff. I recommend it. Now I need a new book, but I don't know what to read. Maybe I'll go reread Pilgrim at Tinker Creek. I claim it as my ( Read more... )

Depends what you're in the mood for. If it's light, I'd suggest Watermelon by Marian Keyes. It was fun. (And I know you can get her in the US because I bought her book Rachel's Holiday while I was in America.)

Also for light but a little more serious you could go for Rosamunde Pilcher. Her shorter books tend to have relationships developing and changing within a veeeery short space of time, but they're quicker to get through and nice, genuine and satisfying.

On reflection, I don't read many heavy books at all!
