see I have the same problem on clothing even though I really don't own that much. I cleaned this past weekend and had to do what you said. i need to just show my excessiveness into a bag..
and give it away before i have any time to think about it.
I did and now I have a little more room. Just think of all the people that will love to wear your hand me downs. (sorry I'm on a little rant...no sleep has caught up to me)

i don't consider myself a girl but honestly i have the same problem. I love my clothes. I'm crazy about them. They all have their own place in the closet. I hate putting anything other than my socks and underwear in drawers. They are aligned by style and color with coordinating shoes place underneath on the floor. I refuse to ever get rid of any of them.

Just letting you know that you aren't alone.

i have a dresser full underwear..
and even that is severely organized.
i wouldn't go as far as sorting my socks by color or anything..
but they are all paired perfectly and even the knee-high socks have their own separate place in the drawer.

the thought of putting any of my actual clothing away in a drawer..
it makes me cringe.
i don't even like having to pack things in a suitcase..
and when i do, i typically unpack quickly.

i can't wear my clothes if they're all wrinkly..
that's just gross.
