I start working at Pioneer this Thursday. It's a temp job for a year. Molecular genetics of corn...something with the flowering time gene. Similar to what I did last summer, but a bit more advanced. I'm sure I can do it, though I am a little nervous. I'm working with Pedro, who has a great sense of humor and I am looking forward to that. It's funny

being on campus is doing strange things to my head

i'm going to be working at the Boone Y-Camp as a Seasonal Naturalist. i get to lead kids around and teach em stuff... hope its as fun as it sounds!

i really think it will be a definite positive in the personal growth direction. i'm so nervous that i'll fuck up though! myargh!
but it also sounds like i get to do a lot of fun off-job projects like going to conferences and hawk watches and whatnot. always cool to learn new things and meet other nature fanatics.

i'm glad to see that you're updating more regularly.. i miss reading journals of the girls i know...seems like all i see regularly is community stuff and other people that aren't close personal friends. damnit, someone interesting write a lot!!
