Everywhere. Half the reason I stopped going to cons was that the clientele is now mostly those plus the Narutard type, liberally spiced with the borderline autistic socially-inept type. Other half is the price/time/argh factor. But the first half is more important.

PS, I found out recently (and it tickled me to know) that both East and South are having MiniCons still. Despite my feelings on the above folk, I think it's awesome that the club we were both part of and the minicon I helped create are both alive and well. :)

I was just at AnimeNEXT this weekend, and I didn't notice such a trend. As far as I could see, all the attendees were pretty much keeping it family friendly with their general behaviour, though there were a good number of yaoi paddles around...

And this is a con whose attendance level this year could very well be over 9000.

Oh yeah, and the big line of people waiting to get into Masquerade seating on Saturday evening was walk-by Caramelldansenned, is that close enough?

(And some of them DID start doing it, too.)

Sorry about my constant lack of ability to communicate. I keep remembering to call when you're either at work or probably asleep, or when i'm at work. :(

HOWEVER.

I just sent you a package with some books in it (Kushiel's Mercy, The Book of Vice: Naughty Things and How to Do Them, and Self-Made Man: One woman's journey into manhood and back (this is not the sleazy porn-book it sounds like; it's actually a well written and fairly insightful book)), which should be arriving presently. ALSO. I will be in the Poconos with Dee Wed through Friday this week if you're looking for a little two-birds-one-stone action.

I swear, swear, swear that I will actually call at some point SOON. I'm getting better! Sort of. At least I'm remembering to call, even if it's always at bad times.
