Alright, I'm going to start up a LP of
Victoria and it's expansion Revolutions. But....I want input before playing and while playing. Namely, who should I be, what policies should I assume, and shit. I'll be writing a 1st person narrative along with screenshots of various real/made up characters to go along with it.
So....to the list.
The Republic of Texas
PROS - a benevolent ally in America, its position as a border region has lots of potential
CONS - almost constantly at war with Mexico, victory is nearly impossible and will have to aim for lower goals, absolutely fucked if America gives up on us, bad feelings may come from turning down being an American state
The United States of America
PROS - will probably never be in want of money, constant acquisition of land, can have considerable power levels later on
CONS - have to keep a close eye on Texas, MEXICAN WARS, England/Canada are hostile, if you choose anti-slavery policies there will be a Civil War in 1861
Belgium
PROS - most of Europe likes you, very rich in resources, generally not involved in European wars
CONS - start out at war with Netherlands, if France or Prussia hate you there can be trouble, kind of just stuck there without expansion room
Portugal
PROS - colonies, colonies everywhere, generally separate from European affairs, can easily insert itself into American affairs
CONS - manpower issues, if britain is angered the game gets REAL hard
