One Big Lie

Following reading a humour fic I really didn't like in the Sherlock kinkmeme. Was deciding why it really didn't work for me. Sherlock was oblivious to the point of idiocy. John was a selfish git. Everyone talked American (I hate this in fics for British shows). And there was a weird meat obsession throughout for no readily-observable reason.

Yep, that's the way I see it too. One new premise, but all the rest must stay true to canon.

Glad for the validation, both of you -- wasn't entirely sure it didn't sound stupid. Some of my One-Big-Lies were pretty damn big (particularly writing sex-comedy in a dystopia), but I did pay attention to getting the voices right, or at least right to my versions of the characters.
