Whee!

Jules likes my story (and thinks it's sweet and funny).

Having had it seen by two readers who think it doesn't suck, can I put it on AO3 yet? (It's had a lot of editing-while-writing compared to some of my other stories, so it might actually be OK).

I don't see why not. It's been seen by people and if they found anything dreadful, surely they'd have said?

Having said that, there hasn't been a story I've posted where I didn't find a mistake after it had gone live.

Yeah, I'm just so used to Jules beta-ing for me and discovering all the stupid that when she e-mailed me a short, positive comment I was all, "Does not compute. Where are all the fails, the missed transitions, the mysteriously-disappearing/reappearing clothes etc?"

But I think you're right (and the last few times I beta-ed for her I didn't find anything particularly egregious in hers either). I also think you're right, once it's out there one does find errors.

When I've looked up how to Feetnote on AO3 (thanks neveralarch--I've finally reached the stage of being about to code it), I'll try and get it out there.

You can footnote on AO3? I never knew that! I may have to go back and edit my Desert Peach stories. Or, possibly not. Maybe.
